I'm sure you're asking yourself how does TDT Crews SCHAMOOZLE the Canadian trade's shortage. Well we have posted some recent projects for you to find out!
Metal Fabricating
- Our client was looking to staff new manufacturing facilities to complete years of scheduled work. Due to severe labour shortages and the near impossible task of retaining Canadian skilled trades, the client asked TDT Crews to supply crews of CWB & ASME certified journeymen welders along with welder/fitters and fabricators.
- TDT Crews provided the required number of trades to make the expansion plans productive and profitable.
- TDT Crews is happy to report one year later our crews remain on rotation with this client and they are now moving into their third manufacturing facility.
Meat Processing Industry
- Our client manufactures and installs conveyors, tables, benches, platforms, stairs, cabinets and overhead rail systems for the meat processing industry. They came to TDT Crews for two reasons: (#1) They were losing trades to the Western oil fields projects, and (#2) They had several manufacturing, installation and shutdown projects scheduled for the remainder of the calendar year.
- TDT Crews supplied a number of small supervised trade crews within a two week window to various sites throughout the province along with a crew for the "in house" manufacturing shortage the client was experiencing.
- TDT Crews was not only able to provide the crews on time to work hand and hand with the client, but all projects came in on time and on budget due to exceptional skill-set selection.
- TDT Crews remains a choice supplier for this client and one of the few options available for this cyclical market
Pressure Vessel Tank Manufacturing
- A successful union manufacturing shop came to TDT Crews looking for certified pressure vessel journeymen welders. These welders not only needed precise experience, they also needed to pass several on site welding tests.
- TDT Crews supplied the workers after several discussions with management and the union and kept the client's floor productive with the appropriate "hard-to-find" personnel.
- TDT Crews allowed the client to focus time and money on training new employees.
- TDT Crews allowed the client's Human Resources department to focus time and money on full-time employees alleviating the pressure of trying to fill immediate positions to complete time sensitive projects with workers who were simply not available.
Oil Field Equipment Manufacturing & Field Services
- A worldwide supplier of various unique rigs and drilling equipment had been expanding to Western Canada. With several contracts locked up for the years ahead, starting up facilities in the Western Provinces brought with it the challenges of dealing with the trade shortage. Our client was well positioned with bringing in a foreign workforce,, however, with that came serious delays and unexpected costs.
- TDT Crews supplied HD mechanics, Electricians and Fabricators for the manufacturing of the equipment which off-set serious delays to their original full time overseas recruitment.
- TDT Crews also supplied experienced field support crews where English speaking trades were essential to the job.
Pulp and Paper Mills (Shutdown Work)
- Having several clients in this industry allows TDT Crews to utilize its experienced supervised crews of skilled trades for short to long term shut-downs that are customary to this industry. It's hard to find skilled trades throughout Canada and it's especially difficult to find them on short notice for one to six weeks.
- TDT Crews has been able to do this for years and our clients have enjoyed the luxury of skilled work crews "on demand".
- TDT Crews alleviates the enormous payroll costs, recruiting costs and workers compensation premiums that come with ramping up a temporary full time staff for short to mid term projects.
